WHOA 8 DAYS!

In the midst of what feels to be my 100th day of packing and moving, I have made a list of what I feel are 8 things to do 8 days before leaving

1. Pray – I always find it funny how patience is a fruit of the Spirit. It is something grown within us, perfected through Christ, established by our character through our current situation. LORD I NEED PATIENCE. Being in the last week before leaving is uncomfortable man but there is a patience surrounded by peace The Lord will provide, and it always comes when asked for.

2. Rewrite/Write/Write again a list- if you’re like me, you have to write lists, like physically write and loooook at what you need. I have made many (14) lists during these last couple days before leaving and scratching off one thing after another brings relief and satisfaction (HAH its the small things, right?)

3. Pack- I wish I had some advice other than, just do it.

4. Eat everyplace you want- Hey! Your favorite restaurant probably won’t be wherever you go, so take this advice…. calories don’t count before the race 🙂

5. Friends/Donor list- You think Im kidding, but organizing who you need to stay in contact with has become a great way to make sure everyone is in the loop. Not having to think… have I spoke with ___ is a while?

6. Don’t shower- I have read some blogs about the amount of days in-between showers. So, in the midst of things to do before I leave, one of those is to train my hair (if you’re a girl with thin hair you understand this) to be vibrant and not greasy after no washings. This could also be an excuse for just living at home with no job and not many responsibilities.

7. Many Hugs- Hug your mom, your dad, your grandma, your grandpa, your best friend, your neighbor, your co-worker, your boss, your cat, your dog, your best friends mom, your siblings.. and then do it again

8. Pray even more- Truthfully, can anything really prepare you for an 11 month mission trip around the world other than praying? Prayers for guidance, understanding, a softening of the heart come top to my list.

Thank you for reading my most recent thoughts! I hope these help someone LOL
