Hey everyone! I wanted to do an update on where we are, what’s going on, and where we’re headed from here.
For the past two months, we have been in Medellín, Colombia working with the ministry Ciudad Refugio. Our time there was SO blessed. Ciudad Refugio is a home for over 40+ homeless men every night. A rehabilitation center for men and women. A church. A Sunday school and a safe place for teens/children.
On March 23rd we said our goodbyes and drove wayyy up into the mountains to a small town about 30 min outside of San Pedro, Colombia. We have been staying with Pastor Willie and his wife Christina in their home/church. In this small community, we have also worked with Iglesias Christian Mission. Pastor Juan Diego and Olga have two locations that we have evangelized in the neighborhoods and spent time with the teens.
We will continue to work with the local community here in San Pedro till April 5th. On April 5th we will head for a week in Cartagena, Colombia. This week is called “debrief” where we come together as a squad along with our coaches from the US.
After debriefing on the 11th of April we will finally make it to a new country. Originally we were supposed to be in at least 3/4 different countries by now but because of Covid restrictions, it has made travel very difficult. Adventures in Missions has been sending Squads to Central and South America since opening routes back up. Although this isn’t exactly what we thought, we have seen God’s purpose in having us in Colombia longer than 1 month.
We are very excited for our next adventure to …. Costa Rica!!!
I am so grateful for all the messages, prayers, and donations that I receive. If you feel called to contribute financially to the next 9 months please do so through PayPal or Venmo.
