We have been in Guatemala for almost two weeks. The two words I would use to describe it would be... divine appointments.

You see, God places us at the right place at the right time, meeting the right people IF we are aware.

In Guatemala, we have not been working directly with a ministry or church. We have been living out everyday life. Whether it be hikes, walking around the Parque Center or even small talk with travelers at the hostel, God has show how ministry is not defined by “a partner” or within church walls.

While at the Fuentes Georgina Hot Springs we met a man who is the bishop of 38 Episcopal churches here in Xela. He was funny, kind and just enjoying the day with his wife. He ended up offering us a free ride back which sounded like a better option than hitch hiking like we had planned.

While searching for a bus station, we met a man who gave us directions. He also told us he worked at a school that taught Spanish. My team ran into him again getting ice cream days later and he invited us to his school.

Living at the hostel we became friends with a traveling couple. We’ve enjoyed dinners, sharing stories, sharing our testimonies and grew a genuine trust that opens the doors for the Holy Spirit.

I hope this encourages you to know that you too are placed at the right place at the right time! You are the key to opening the door for the Holy Spirit each and everyday day.

Seek Him first and His presence will rest in between your choices and awareness.

Xoxo Bex
